I LOVE LAKE POWELL

Last week we went with five other couples from our neighborhood to one of my favorite places...Lake Powell. The weather was perfect and the scenery spectacular. We went down to Antelope Point (by Page, Arizona). The influence of the Grand Canyon is all around in amazing rock formations. Cookie Jar is where we docked the houseboat. The rock really does look like a giant cookie jar. Then we enjoyed four full days of swimming, jet skiing, playing games, rock climbing, boating, delicious food, good company and a new sport - wake surfing.

Surfing right behind the back of the boat. Kind of crazy. Derek managed to get up on the first try. He was able to throw the rope into the boat and surf as the wake from the boat pushed him along.

Summer Crusin' Holladay Style

In July, we went on an amazing cruise with my whole family. The kids loved doing all the fun activities with their cousins which made the trip so memorable.

Some highlights were: eating ice cream on the top deck, driving around Catalina Island in multiple golf carts (Dave & Jay racing each other and just about going off the road), sisters karaoke night, loving the sun by the edge of the pool, silverware tricks during dinner (Jake and Jensen mastered these), climbing the rock wall, biking up & down Huntington Beach, celebrating Alli's 12th birthday, late night pirate party and different beaches all day...everyday!
