A few weeks ago Jake was asked to his first dance. A message was left in his bag at the high school swim meet and he had to figure out who it was. A few days later he sent his answer. Not just in a simple way but so that she would have to search. On a Saturday morning he enlisted the family and a few friends to blow up 250 balloons. One balloon contained his answer. The tricky part was trying to find a time where she would not be home, so he could deliver them to her room. That evening, Jake got a message that she was gone. Derek and I were gone too... so he ended up taking 4 trips to her house in his car packed full of balloons just to get the job done.

Hawaii
Where do I start? I have so many pictures to post. I was so excited to go to Hawaii. I couldn't wait to be with Kayli. I have really missed her these last few months.
Shopping in Haliewa - passed by Pizza Bob's - good memories there. AlohaThe HIC Pro surfing competition was happening at Sunset Beach. It's amazing how these surfers get in and out of the water so smoothly. It's a dangerous current out there. No one is allowed to swim during this time of year while the waves are so high and rip tides so strong. I could have sat there all day and watched.

Deep soft sand
BYU - HC
It's raining now...5 min later it's perfectly sunny...30 min later it's raining again. You know you are on the North Shore when you have this weather pattern. I like to call it LIQUID SUNSHINE.Grass Skirt Grill - Awesome polynesian barbeque!
Look at the size of this Avocado. Kayli was so cute and brought to our condo all this fun food to try. My favorite was the papaya, apple bananas, fresh coconut and frozen strawberry guava fruit.
Before the nightshow at the PCC. Such a cute group of friends. It's such a small world...she met these two girls over there and they are both from our city back home.We tried really hard to follow the rules of the condo...
The hukilau cafe - right across the street from Kayli's apartment. Her apartment is kind of rundown but, it's in a great location... right in between the temple and the beach.
My mom was able to come along too with her flight connections. It was fun to have her here. Her navigation skills helped greatly while I drove the car all around the island.
The open house of the Laie Temple. Our tour guide was a sweet Vietnamese man and his wife. He explained things in such a simple and kind manner.
They will be rededicating this temple on Saturday. I feel so blessed that we were there to be apart of the open house. Kayli will get to attend the rededication. What a beautiful job they did leaving the original murals and adding new stained glass windows and new carpet.

My dream beach car - love the surfboard rack on top
The fountain in between our hotel and Waikiki beach.
She rides her bike to school each day. It's only about a five minute ride to campus.
I soooooo loved spending time with Kayli. I miss her already.
Enjoyed watching the kite boarders in Kailua
Yogurtland - a daily activity. We tried every flavor... glad it was only a street away from our hotel.

Sunset walks and talks on the beach in Waikiki
AhHhh...Paradise...
