Memorial Day at the Lake and at the Pool

We headed out early to avoid some of the big crowds and we had lots of success. Really there was only one other boat being launched.
The baby flip flop did the trick for distracting Brylee to being happy about us putting her life jacket on. She made lots of fun smiles and sounds as she enjoyed being in the boat today.

Autumn and Madi
Everyone loves their turn holding this darling baby. I try to be good with sharing her. :)
Almost matching swim suit picture
These two were darling together. From the littlest cousin in the family to baby Brynlee.
Girls enjoying deck time together with lots of smiles and chatting about graduation.
We just were missing Madi who is life gaurding at a different pool today. We love this hot weather!
Brynlee absolutely loved the water and was happy to be played with the entire time. Chris got the biggest smiles from her as he swished her through the pool.

Clubhouse dinner and graduation party for Kelsey and Jessica. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

2017 Summer Begins

School is officially over! Sara got her hammock set up first thing today and enjoyed hanging out with her friends, then they were off swimming and riding bikes to Snowasis.
Last night - first night smores by the fire.
First trip to the pool!

Grand Canyon Adventure!

As Sherm Butters would say..."You just wait for the day when someone asks you to come along for the ride." These three amazing guys drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon today. Tomorrow, Dad will drive around while Derek and Jake hike the 24 miles to the North Rim. Then the three of them will pack up and drive home. I'm sure it will be a memorable weekend and I can't wait to hear more and see more pictures.

FLORIDA FUN For Four Days!

At Cape Canaveral this is one of the best places to view a rocket launch. We arrived a few hours before so that we would get a table. So glad we did...it got extremely crowded.
Mark and Leeann Adams and their brother-in-law Bill (who actually works on the launch pad at CC) Bill had lots of interesting stories from over the years.
As we were eating this beautiful ship pulled through. Made us think about G &T Butters family that's cruising right now...
It was crazy how you could see the rocket lifting into the sky without sound. Then when it was in the air the sound traveled and we heard the blast that is always delayed when you are a few miles away.
We spent an entire day at Universal Islands of Adventure

BUTTER BEER - Delicious!
Harry Potter world was as cool as you could imagine!

Guess who rode the HULK roller coaster 6 times? This guy! I could barely make it through once. I got feeling pretty sick half way through the ride. I used to be able to ride these twisty coasters over and over again. Now, I think I'll stick with the ones that go straight.

An after picture, just walking off Popeye White-Water Rapids, both of us got completely soaked from head to toe. It felt good with the heat, but my jean shorts didn't dry out for the rest of the day.
This restaurant was just like going to a modern version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The view out the window from our hotel in Disney World. Off in the distance is the Tower of Terror ride - our family's favorite ride at Disney.
As I was walking around while Derek was at the convention, I looked us up on find my friends and noticed the hidden Mickey in the top left corner. It's huge! So cool!
The beautiful gardens before going into the Epcot Center.
The swimming/beach area surrounding our hotel...
Relaxing pool side....
Heard we got snow back in Highland today...
Appreciating the heat here and lovin' every minute of it!
