1st BYU game of the Season...

Always filled with over-the-top energy and excitement is the first game of the football season.  Derek was both a BYU cougar and a Washington State Cougar, but I think we all know where his loyalty lies.  A white out game - just like last year.  We were ready to cheer and scream LOUD!  With 40,000 white pom pom's covering the stadium, this home opener was unforgettable!  GO COUGARS - and I mean BYU Cougars! Yay...A complete blowout...We won 30-6!
Just look who is working the BYU concession stands? Gray, Jake and the entire Lone Peak Student Council. They were extremely busy the entire time and Jake didn't get home until 1:30am.
It was so fun to run into Steve, Darby and Trevor...who shared with us how they just walked from their home to the stadium.  Oh, how would it be?

Dodgeball Tournament

This is our awesome YW/YM Dodgeball Team. Congratulations Regional Champs!!!  It was a fun, exciting, loud and awesome evening...A little too nerve-racking for us parents. Not sure I can handle another competition with so much pressure.  Thanks everyone for coming and playing your best!

ORGANZA

So now what do we do with 110 organza chair sashes after the wedding?
 Play in them, of course!
Next it was Sara's turn.  The pictures of her weren't as clear as Madi's, but you get the idea...
An ocean of waves to hide in...
And if one bridesmaid dress wasn't enough, Madi thought it would be fun to create her own version with table toppers and a sash.
A very good day of pretend and fashion.

Going to the Temple with Madi

Since Madi turned 12 a few months ago, she can now go inside the temple and do service for others.  She was so excited to go for her very first time.

First Day of School Continues...

Jake is ready for his Senior year...he has spent many hours at school already this summer getting activities planned and set up for Hi week.
Alli's excited to have her own parking pass - a privilege that comes with being a Junior.
After five years of riding to and from school together these two will be leaving at separate times, in separate carpools, going to separate schools...a part of growing up which this mom doesn't like. :(
Our adorable 5th grader -  so thrilled to have been placed in the same class as her two best friends.
Welcome Back...Enjoy your day!

Look what's happening...

In the midst of after wedding chaos...Madi left for her first day of school today.  Her first big adventure to Jr. High.  Nerves were a little shaky, but all the excitement soon took over.
We've practiced locker combinations, purchased PE uniforms, figured out classroom numbers, lunchroom procedures and now it's time to enjoy being a new 7th grader.  So happy she is in the same boat as many others and that these cute 7th graders had the entire school to themselves today.
Welcome to Timberline - Madi! You are just growing up WAY TOO FAST!!

Spudman & Spudwoman!

It's a dark and early start. We bring our breakfast along.  How can we possibly think of food at this early hour?
Putting my wetsuit on is a must as I get out of the car...it's a very cool morning.
Meeting up with good friends always makes every event more FUN!
I love this sunrise picture of Chris and Kayli!
Our whole group ready to jump in the river - Heat #2
Just a little crazy picture before the start.  This is exactly how I feel about this event...that we're all a little crazy for even doing it.
GIRL POWER!!
The Finish Line - Congrats Alli First-timer! Jake did awesome!
Meet 4th and 5th place in their age division (15-18)
Aimee and Alli - you were amazing out there!
We all did it! YEA!!
Jumping back in the river after to cool off...
Kimi and Kayli show off their success!
New Spudman shirts and medals all around! Wooohoo!

Showers, Parties, Early Wedding Celebrations

Summer has been very busy as we prepare for the BIG upcoming wedding!  Of course, the most enjoyable times are getting to celebrate with family and friends.
All the girl cousins 10 and older were invited to the family shower. Grandma Karen, Tina, and Kathy made all the wonderful food.
Kim did a great job implementing the shower games.  Kayli did a great job matching the Groom cards - no help given.  She got the 'Big Hunk' candy bar! So appropriate for her.
Chris's Family (we missed Staci & Cami)
The Butters side - so great to have them in town!
A few ladies in my ward also put on a wonderful shower for Kayli.  Everything was decorated so cute.
