It's Her Time - Alli's Graduation!

Today we celebrated one more of our amazing kids graduating from Lone Peak High School. Horray for Alli! She was so happy and excited for the big event. Once again, we were extremely proud and smiling inside for such a spectacular day!
Here she is right before the graduation ceremony!
A little peak down the tunnel in the Marriott Center - We spied our girl!
Presenting the 2014 class of Lone Peak High School
754 students strong!
I was able to snap this picture right before she sat down, three rows from the front, fourth seat in from our side.
Alli walking through getting her diploma. I took four more pictures....but they all turned out too blurry! She was walking so fast!
A little hug from the Senior Class President...hmmm.
This is one of the funnest pictures. Alli attended Kindergarten with this lovely girl, Zoe O'grady when we lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to Utah about 4 years ago. They have a picture of them together when they graduated from Kindergarten.
The tradition Jake started last year - Big jump by the LP sign!
Alli and Kaden - Great Lake Powell Buddies!
We love and are so proud of you, Alli!!
Grandpas and Grandmas are the BEST!
Thanks to all of you for supporting our Alli!
Our family - Missing our Jake, but we know he is right where he needs to be!
Alli and Aimee - Best Friends!
This photo would make Jake very proud!
Jake Freeman - maybe I could just photo shop our Jake's face on his. They have the same name and similar build?!
Sweet Sisters - Best Friends!

A new home for the Ducks

It's an upgrade of scenery in the life of a duck.  The Smith's backyard is pretty much pond paradise.  The ducks went crazy once they made it into the pond chewing on moss and floating in the pond water. We enjoyed watching them and listening to the 3 waterfalls surrounding the pond. It's no doubt they will love being down here.

Costume Day...

Madi and Sara have been talking about this day for months.  Miss Melissa invited the ballet girls to her house to fit and work on costumes for the entire day.  Lunch was made and chocolate fondue was set out for dessert.  They spent busy time together working on crowns, gluing sequins on costumes, spraying props and wiring crowns with vines.  Can't wait to see them in their ballet recital in just a few weeks.

Sara Says Goodbye to Elementary School - 6th Grade Graduation Party!

After a program and awards ceremony, it was time for the 6th graders to party! A Barbecue lunch was planned with a slide show highlighting the year. Good Times with lots of good friends.  Thankfully, these kids will move on to Jr High School altogether.  One of the students speeches mentioned how they should say hi to each other in the hallways next year. I love how their peers encourage friendship and unity.  This class of 6th graders is awesome!
The girls get to line up first for the food. Hot dogs, chips, cookies and drinks...a kids dream lunch for sure!
A fun Hawaiian theme with clever decorations all around...
Friends for now and Friends to move on with. Life is good in this gym today!

Internship Completed

For the past 5 months Alli has enjoyed working at the Timpanogos Animal Hospital. This internship fit her interests and personality perfectly.
I have loved hearing stories about her day from watching animals have surgery, tender times w/ dogs and their owners, to some of the jokes the doctors tell. Alli is amazed at how down to earth the Veterinarians are. Working with them was a great experience all around.

A job well done! Those Letters of Recommendation will come in handy someday.

Ridgeline Dance Festival 2014

I really can't believe that it's been 8 years since this school opened. Jake was the first class of 6th graders to come here and now Sara is the last of my kids to leave.
Each May it is tradition to dance on the field as school grades. Audrey and Sara are waiting for the dance festival to start.  These two have been such good friends this year.
The entire 6th grade in their flourescent attire! Luckily, I can see Sara right down in the front.
From preschool to 6th grade, everyone gets ready for the finale. (Sara is in the back wearing bright blue)
This is my favorite end of the year activity! I love the atmosphere with everyone outside, the 900 kids on the lawn dancing at the same time and the magnificent views from this field. I will so miss having kids at this school!

Grandpa Sherm came out to support Sara today. We loved having him here. I really enjoyed listening to some of his stories when he was in elementary school.
