art face - by sara

Out of all the pictures Sara took, she choose mine to do her expressive portrait sketch of. Her studio art class in school is her most favorite class. Her teacher is fabulous and Sara is learning so much.
I couldn't even come close to drawing a face. It's hard to make every part look in proportion to each other and in line with the other features. I am thoroughly impressed!

Painting Pumpkins

Tonight these darling Young Women artists painted adorable pumpkins for October!
Audrey, Sara and Bri
A perfect evening to be outdoors before the weather turns cold.
These girls were all so creative and did a fantastic job!

Sara's pumpkin fit perfectly in with our Halloween decorations on our front entry table.

Sara scores a ticket...

Sara was invited by two different people having tickets to join her for Woman's Conference this year. She was excited and ready to go by 3:30 this afternoon. What can be more fun then going with your cousins? Dinner at City Creek before and seeing President Monson for real. Thanks, Kathy for taking her along.

Another Baby Shower for Kayli

My sweet sisters and mom planned a baby darling shower for Kayli last Saturday. Everything looked wonderful!

Minhee was one of Kayli's good friends down at BYU. They were in the dietetics program together.
Haylee, Emilee and Sara enjoying the yummy food.
This is the book we gave my mom and Derek's mom over 25 years ago when we announced that we were going to have our first baby. Today, at the shower, my mom gave it back to me. I really can't believe I'll be a Grandma in less than 6 weeks.

My cousin Jennie crocheted this beautiful blanket and made these darling bows.
This baby girl is going to be spoiled and that's okay!
Could these clothes be any cuter? Thanks Tina for the darling baby dresses!

 Cute idea made by Kim.
Grandma was in charge of these cute take home favors - cinnamon bears.
Such darling gifts - Thank you everyone!

HOMECOMING 2016

Madi looked absolutely gorgeous tonight and her dress fit her personality perfectly.  I really can't believe she is old enough to go to the high school dances now.
James picked her up at 5:00 and then they were off for a fun night. We did really have him come into the house and then he let us know his dad was outside and wanted to take pictures as well, so we had them go out to the front porch.
Sometimes flowers can be sort of awkward to put on. This isn't the first time I have been asked to help out. I never mind. James seemed fine with it too. We have known him for about 12 years. It's so nice that they are really good friends.

And don't they look great?
Off they go....Have so much fun!!
Here's a crazy small world story: So, this is Madi's first date and I went on my first date with the dad of the girl on the far right (black and white dress). She is actually one of Madi's really good friends.
